As deadlines are coming up to meet I finally decided to start collecting data. We meant to do this earlier, but it was pretty easy for us to get off track and worry about it another time. However, today I realized that I should start now and break my bad habits. I went around today during the first two periods before homeroom/lunch. I simply asked the question "Do you know what's for lunch?" and tallied up the responses under "Yes" or "No". This task wasn't too difficult and was a pretty ideal way to collect data. Personally asking people ensures you that you'll get data, and makes it more convenient for students to answer the question.
